Description
My recent artistic obsession, a Belgian actor Benoit Poelvoorde.
Not only amazingly talented, but also an electrifying personality. Shamefully underrated outside Belgium and France.
I first saw him in "Coco avant Chanel" and I was swept away by his character , but eventually forgot about him after a while (shame on me ). It is thanks to my extraordinary friend , a fan of Benoit, that I became more and more interested in him. After seeing "Asterix at the Olympic Games", Benoit's Brutus became my hero. But the real jawdrop of mine was caused by his first movie, brilliant and controversial mockumentary "Man Bites Dog". I truly was blown away by his talent and sophisticated sense of humor.
I'm hoping to see more of his films (most of them are comedies; I myself prefer him in rather darker roles, but it's not a necessary condition ). Can't wait to see his recent movie, "L'autre Dumas".
Ave Benoit!

And now the techincal part. To be honest, I spent countless hours on this drawing. Can't remember if any of the portraits I usually do took me so much time. ^^ Perhaps because I wanted it to look as good as possible (though it still isn't perfect AND it's only my first try^^ ).
As usual, I recommed the FULL VIEW.
Pencils: {H, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9} B + charcoal on paper.
